If you say Argentina, you think Tango, and vice versa

This sensual, even erotic dance was born in Buenos Aires a century ago.

Dodgy at first (Tango was first danced in brothels) shunned by upper-class society, it was slowly and gradually accepted, reaching its heyday in the 1940s.

Finally, in 2009 Tango was included intangible world cultural heritage by UNESCO.

In Buenos Aires, apart from the glamorous shows in the theaters on big boulevards, the tango is mostly alive in the barrio of La Boca, that is maybe best known for its famous football club.
