Today, when I was stuck once again in a landslide, one of the trucks that had just crossed the site from the opposite side hit my left luggage box and kicked me down. Once again, I have nothing broken, but once again, I have bruises all over the place. The worst is my right leg, the one that already suffered most from my fall in Guyana. But my right elbow as well, the one that bothers me with tendinitis, is not a pretty nice to look at either, despite the protectors of my jacket. As my mantra  these days is to think positive, I convince myself that without my protective vest it would have been much worse. The truck driver was quite panicking and really scared of what would follow up. He apologized many times, and wanted to call the police and exchange insurance informations. But why should I start a procedure with a Colombian insurance where my chances to get compensated are close to nil. So, I just told him to forget the incident and continue his route. The poor guy was really relieved, and as a gift he offered me.....a hammer to get my boxes in a better shape again.

What worries me more, is my bike. The two boxes are twisted and do not close any more. I have fixed them with straps and duct tape, but I need find a welder who can repair aluminum. This means, if they can still be repaired at all, otherwise I'll have to improvise again. Meanwhile, it's raining outside (what a surprise!) and my boxes gently fill with water.
