So the dates are set:

I will leave Luxembourg on May 19th. I intend to do this on my motorcycle till Venice, But I need someone to bring my motorcycle back to Luxembourg. I am still looking for someone there. Who is interested?

In Venice (Marco Polo's hometown) I will embark on a ship to Istanbul. The main silk road starts in Syria, but you can easily imagine that I am not very interested to return there....

So, in Istanbul, I will take a car to Kyrgyzstan. I still have to buy this car. Maybe someone has a cheap one to go? (2500 - 3500 Euros)

In Kyrgyzstan I will switch the car for horses, and ride for one week to the Chinese border.

In Kashgar (China) I will meet, Charel Bradtke and Nico Ney. We know each other since a long time.

Charel was my teammate in 2008 when we competed in the "Race across Amercica" He also was one of the first 4 Luxembourgers who went to Hawaii to compete on the "Ironman" Triathlon Championship.

Nico was my travel- and tentmate in 2007 during my mountain bike Tibet crossing. He also was part of our support team during the "Race across America"

So, after meeting in Kashgar we will start for a one week desert crossing. On camel back we will cross a part of the Taklamakan desert, the second biggest desert in the world.

Finally we will cycle some 4600km to Beijing, arriving on August 30th!
