My map showed a border point some 10 km North of Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. hen I finally found it, it was closed. Another-one nearby as open, but just for pedestrians. So I had to drive back south, to a city called Allamat. This city is not even on my map, nor are the roads leading to it. All this summed up in some 200 extra km, and I as running short on fuel. But there was no way to get diesel in Uzbekistan, most of the petrol stations were even closed. Luckily my car uses less then 5 liters/km, and I finally arrived with my last drops to the firs Kazakh station

Now, I will try to enter Kyrgyzstan, whose border is just  some 20 km away. So far I do not notice any special military presence, nor seem the people be concerned of what is happening in Kyrgyzstan.
