It took me 2 hours to pass the Georgian border. The first city, Batumi, was a choc! No road signs are other indications whatsoever! No roads either! I drove around for about an hour, couldn’t find my way out. Finally I spotted a policeman and asked him the direction to Tbilisi. Hi did not speak English, but opened the passenger door of my car sat next to me and told me start. By signs he indicated me the way out of this scaring city. If the road conditions will go on like this, I will never arrive in Kyrgyzstan. When we finally were out of town, the road became better and I stopped to let the policeman get out. But he told me to continue, what I did. So far he did not speak a single word, not even his name, although I introduced myself. We went on, and he guided me through other cities, the fall asleep. Much later he finally told me to stop and left ma car without having said one single word! We were in the middle of nowhere and had driven some 180 km together!
