A week ago, I left Istanbul precipitately to join my family in a difficult moment. Thanks God, my worst fears did not happen. After undergoing surgery twice, my mother-in-law will leave the intensive care unit today. Her days are no more in danger.

So, what now? Shall I continue or not?

One of my principles is to never repeat something, and when I left Istanbul last week, I was convinced not to return.

But on the other hand, I hate unfinished jobs. Flying back to Istanbul, and resuming my journey would be more finishing something rather than repeating it. Of course, ther will be an interruption of some 2 weeks, but this was caused by circomstances  outside my control. An other argument to return now, rather than sometimes next year, are my visa and vaccinations. I do not want to go to all these procedures again.

Finally, I got quite a lot of phone calls and mails from people encouraging my to resume my travel.

I will wait another few days. If the recovery of my mother-in-law keeps on, I will probable fly back to Istanbul in a week
