So, I am stuck in Dubrovnik.

Couldn't imagine a nicer place to get stuck. This is by far the nicest city of Croatia.I've been here already some years ago, but again I am amazed by the view of the old town.

Although besieged during the recent war, and under heavy artillery fire, I couldn't see any visible damage.

I was surprised to meet two Serbs, father and son. When I told them they were the first Serbs I've seen in Croatia, a passionate political discussion followed. I will not go into details, but two things struck me:

On my question, how they feel towards the Croations today, and whether they still have contacts or friends over here, the father said:

"Of course I still have friends, that's why they are friends"

The son, who was a child during the war, told me, that his generation was getting educated to hate the Croatians! "We are the good guys, believe me"

Once again, history books are written differently on either side of the border.

Bot now, why am I stuck here?

Yesterday I noticed a broken spoke on my rear wheel. I do not know since when it is broken, I just noticed yesterday. Fortunately my spokes were soldered, so the wheel is still turning perfectly well. But it has to get fixed, and this is probably the last place to get this done. Tomorrow, I will enter much less inhabited regions. Only problem, I haven't found a bicycle shop so far, and anyway, everything is closed today, as we are Sunday.

While talking broken stuff, I have meantime my second back mirror, as well as my second kickstand. One of my bags starts looking bad as well, and I will have to look for a shoemaker one of these days.
