I just booked my  flight to Istanbul, I’ll be back there on Thursday.
“Yellow wind” got full service and is  ready to go. I changed my slick tyres for more solid all-terrain ones. New brakes as well. Patrice cleaned my bags, washed my clothes, I have fresh socks…

With my first 3500 km experience, I will start lighter this time (Satisfied, Nando?) Most important, I will not take my tent anymore. On this second part of my trip, camping get’s more risky, so I changed my tent for a light bivy bag. But I still take my sleeping bag. It would not be the first time that I use my sleeping bag in a “hotel” I will not take my helmet anymore as well. I only wore it the first three days anyway. Later it was just too warm. And I do not think it will be very useful when a big truck runs over me. Then I picked bits and pieces from my other stuff.

Having  much less to carry, I do not need my trailer anymore, which I swapped for a low-rider with two smaller bags on my front wheel. I had to drive to Trier to get this one, there was not one single low-rider (approx: 20 Euros) available in all Luxembourg.

On Friday, I will reassemble my bike and leave Istanbul Saturday morning.

Million Ce fut le centre du centre du monde. Cest dici que furent mesures toutes les distances partir de Constantinople.JPG

"Million" startup of the road to Europe, used to be considered as the center of the world during the Byzantine era. This city was the center of the world, and this point was the center of the center. All distances were calculated from this point.
