Out from Alsace, you´ll find wonderful cycling roads just into the center of Strasbourg. "Along the canal de la Marne au Rhin"

I went to Strasbourg, because I met Patrice, who brought me my cycling jerseys. Finally they arrived. But I only got them because Patrice jumped in her car and drove to Strasbourg to bring them to me. This was another occasion my provider missed to get things right. But, forget about it.

After having lunch next to the cathedral (Flammekuechle) I crossed over to Germany, where I set up tent for the first time.

Next day I tried to avoid as many mountains as possible, longing rivers, until finally I had a very steep climb ahead of me. 12 pc for some 5 km. It was around midday and very hot. I had to make 2 stops before arriving on top. Height 808m only! but starting at 150m.

Finally I managed to cross all Black forest in just one day and arrived at 7pm at the Bodensee.
