Here come the Taurus mountains

Yesterday morning I left Izmit, on sea level, tonight, I am at an altitude of 800 meters. It is easy climbing so far, not steep at all, and the 15 kilos of less baggage that I carry now, make a big difference.

Today I was invited for lunch by Eren and his family. Actually, I should already have spent last night with them, but I could not make it so far: When I stopped in Osmaneli, I had already cycled 110 km, and there were some 40 more to go.

Tonight I stopped after 69 km only, for three raisons:

1:  I have to be careful now to find towns where I can find hotels; the next middle size town is 80 km away.

2: Days are much shorter now, at 18.30 h it is completely dark

3: Since 2 days there are thunderstorms in the afternoon, and, as I have no more tent, I am not very interested in bivacking in the rain.

My next contact is in Antalya only, some 500 km from here
