Yesterday was a nightmare:
First, I forgot my netbook in Luxembourg airport.
Then I missed my connecting flight in Zürich by my own fault. I was waiting for a flight to Istanbul, but in was the wrong flight in the wrong terminal. When I noticed my mistake it was too late, the plane had left already.
Next flight was 5 hours later, but on different company. These 5 hours were quite busy:
I went to the Turkish airlines counter to buy a new ticket: closed
Then I run all over the airport to recuperate my luggage which was disembarked from the other plane.
I left Zürich airport three times: 1: buy a new netbook. 2: buy an Office-Word program. 3: Buy a new power socket (The one with my netbook only works in Switzerland)
Back to the airline counter for a new ticket: € 300 less in my pocket.
Finally I got everything done, my luggage checked-in again.
Over all, I guess that I passed the security check six times! Of course this was noticed, so the last 2 passages, I was due for a complete body check (the one in a separate cabin with a customs agent who must have been ill the day of distribution of good humor)
When I finally sat down at the embarking gate (The right one this time) I have been told that my flight would be delayed by one hour….
Murphy’s law!
This morning, after fixing my bike, I went for a short cruise on the Bosporus , gazing at amazing villas from the rich inhabitants from Istanbul.
And tonight, finally, I got the opportunity to see the whirling Dervishes, a show (although show is not the right word) I always wanted to see.
