Cycling to Antalya was an easy day. I left at an altitude of 800 m, and, after a last climb to 925 m there was the long downhill to Antalya, at sea level. Temperature on top of the pass was 18°, and five km further it had climbed to 32 ° already. Furthermore, after one week in the pure mountain air, I reentered the pollution of a big city, so I felt quite uncomfortable at the beginning.
In Antalya I paid a visit to the well preserved and restored old town with the famous Hadrian gate and the broken minaret. Later then, I met Bettina and her family, Germans who live in Antalya. They would be my guides for the next day.
We started the next day with the visit of a climbing park, and then visited Phaselis, an old town founded some 2500 years ago by settlers from Rhodes. Well preserved with a nice theatre aqueduct and agora (marketplace)
For the rest of the day we relaxed and chatted about the situation of German immigrants in Turkey, quite an interesting subject.
