"Yellow wind" ريح صفراء (pronounce ri:ih safra) that's how I called my bike, before my friends called it "the postman's bike"
For days I packed and unpacked, making little piles of clothes, spare parts, road maps all over the place, in order to get an acceptable weight equilibrium on my bike. When all was done, the final result was devastating: 59 kilos all together, but without water and food! Much more than expected. But, what the heck! "Just do it"
Later on, in the middle east, when it gets warmer, and I'll have to cross some deserted places, I'll have to add another 10-15 kg of water.
Tomorrow morning, 9.00 am, I'll be on the road. Some friends will come with me for an hour or so. Then it's up to me. Before start, I'll check out the map, to see where to go, because I have no idea where I will spend the first night, and I do not want to know until tomorrow! All I know, is, it will be in France...
As from tomorrow as well, the map on my "new project" page, will be (or should be) updated daily. So you can follow my slow progress all the way through.
